Designed to absorb repeated striking from the blade and uses a vacuum hold-down tool to exert pressure to keep the pinchweld protector in place. Ricochet™ Pinchweld Protection System includes one each: 12”, 18”, 24”, and 48” long pinchweld protectors plus four vacuum hold-down tools. This kit includes four different lengths of high-impact plastic that will absorb repeated strikes from blades. It uses a vacuum hold-down tool to keep the pinchweld protector in place. There are many places where this can be useful, like-new vehicles that do not have molding around the glass. Small nicks on these types of vehicles are easy to see and can result in having to have part of the vehicle repainted. Ricochet™

Protecting the pinchweld while removing glass has always been a problem for technicians. Every protector that technicians used could not withstand the repeated hits by power tool blades. Additionally, blades can jump out of the pinchweld, leaving the paint exposed to potential harm. Tape works to some extent but will not hold sufficient downward pressure to keep pinchweld protectors in place. The solution to this problem is Ricochet™ Pinchweld Protection System, invented by Equalizer’s own Gilbert Gutierrez.
