If you are a person who always takes cold knife blades out of the box and sharpens them, then the UltraThin series is for you. They are 40% thinner than the regular UltraWiz® blades. The conical ground shape on the back of the new UltraWiz® Radius Serrated Blade is different from anything ever made before. This design, along with the serrations, creates a very thin blade with much less cutting resistance than anything in the industry! The radius grind is similar to what techs have been doing for years, but on these blades, it is done before heat treating to produce the highest performance possible. The unique serration design leaves small leading-edge points to pierce the urethane for an easier pull during cutting. Also with only the small serration points touching the glass, the majority of the blade stays sharp for continued cutting ease.

Specialized grinding and heat-treating techniques are applied to the production of these high-quality blades to ensure that they maintain a tough edge without becoming brittle. PN1003 original thickness blades are designed with an extra space between the blade and the pull handle bolt. This extra space gives you greater clearance when the glass has a bonded molding. UltraWiz® Cold Knife is shaped for comfort and gripping power. The handle is oblong so it will not easily spin in your hand. The pull handle is built into the body and not bolted to the blade.

The unique shape allows for the removal of glass without removing the moulding. PN1022 cuts under the molding around the back edge of the glass and underneath the glass. Its unique shape allows you to remove the glass without removing the molding. After the glass is removed there is very little pressure holding the molding into the urethane and it is easy to remove without damage. Original Thickness. Made in the USA.
